Overview
Dr Ria Kanazaki graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2008 and subsequently completed her physician training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She achieved her fellowship to the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) in gastroenterology and hepatology after training at Wollongong hospital, Royal Prince Alfred hospital and Liverpool hospital. She is accredited in colonoscopy and gastroscopy with the Conjoint Committee.
Ria’s interests include inflammatory bowel disease, bowel cancer screening, and liver disease. She has an active interest in research and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of New South Wales which focuses on improving the delivery of evidence-based care to patients through clinician education. Her research has been published in Australian and international scientific journals. She is dedicated to delivering quality personalised health care to achieve the best outcomes for her patients. She is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA), the European Crohn’s and Coliti Organisation (ECCO), and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA).
