Overview
Dr Vid Suttor is a gastroenterologist with an interest in patient-centred care. She graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2000, following completion of her school years at James Ruse Agricultural High School. She was admitted to the specialist physician training program at St Vincent’s Hospital, and went on to undertake advanced gastroenterology training before completing a fellowship in gastrointestinal motility disorders at Royal North Shore Hospital. She was admitted to the Royal Australian College of Physicians, and accredited with the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA).
Dr Suttor is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at North Shore Private Hospital, The Mater Hospital and Pittwater Day Surgery. Her interests include diagnostic challenges in abdominal pain, bloating and aberrant bowel habit, as well as management of complex multifactorial presentations including intestinal parasitosis, gluten enteropathy, irritable bowel syndrome overlapping with endometriosis, inflammatory bowel disease, polyposis, nutrition, and small bowel capsule endoscopy (pill camera).
Dr Suttor is an accredited diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopist with the Conjoint Committee in Endoscopy. She has published in peer-reviewed medical journals on digestive tract physiology and presented her research at national and international conferences. Dr Suttor is widely known for her warmth, attention to detail, commitment to providing quality procedures and evidence-based approach to patient care. She is also mum to three girls and enjoys running in her spare time.
