Overview

Dr Way Siow is a consultant gastroenterologist serving the Northern Beaches Hospital. Way completed his physician’s training at Gosford and Royal North Shore Hospitals after graduating from the University of New Wales. Since completing advanced gastroenterology training, Way has been involved in a number of liver and endoscopy related research projects at Westmead Hospital as a clinical research fellow. As part of his PhD, he is exploring the relationship between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and the development of colorectal cancer. He is currently a conjoint fellow with the University of Newcastle and a clinical lecturer with the University of Sydney actively involved in medical education.

Way is widely regarded for his compassionate and personal approach with his patients. He is an all rounded gastroenterologist with a particular interest in bowel cancer screening and managing liver diseases including viral hepatitis and fatty liver disease. He has accreditation in colonoscopy and gastroscopy and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP).

Way endeavours to bring a high level of dedication and knowledge to deliver the best possible outcomes for his patients. His commitment to teaching and research will continue to enhance the quality of healthcare to patients in the region.
